Sideboard made of stained wood, chromed steel and glass. It has no key and has slight damage. Aesthetically, the work belongs to the Space Age movement, influenced by the Atomic Age that extended to a wider range of consumer products, including furniture and fashion. Space Age design captured the optimism and faith in technology felt by much of society during the 1950s and 1960s, along with the design possibilities offered by newly available materials, such as fiberglass, that had become much more accessible since World War II. Although Space Age design is more associated with the kitsch and Googie architecture of popular commercial buildings.
