Contemplation in the age of excess is an exhibition that brings together a group of works whose main objective is to reflect and delve into the need to stop in the face of a context saturated with stimuli. The exhibition is conceived as a space of visual pause and sacred meditation where artistic contemplation is revealed as one of the few passable paths for human beings to face contemporary chaos.

This exhibition proposes an exhibition tour in which each work, although conceived autonomously, is integrated within a common discursive framework that gives meaning to the whole. The careful spatial arrangement, the intentional treatment of light and the symbolic charge of the images contribute to transform the room into an environment conducive to meditation, where the act of looking becomes an experience of depth and pause, in contrast to the accelerated pace of contemporaneity. Far from offering a resolution in the face of chaos, Álvaro Llanza proposes an aesthetic and existential attitude: to inhabit uncertainty through sustained contemplation, to accept the ambiguity of forms and to persevere in the gaze even when the visible is fragmentary, unstable or excessive. In this way, the exhibition does not impose answers, but rather provides a space for poetic resistance to the saturation of the world.
